What Is the Difference Between Safe & Riskier Emails?
Safe emails passed direct server verification. Riskier emails are catch-all addresses that couldn’t be individually confirmed.
What are safe emails?
Section titled “What are safe emails?”An email is marked safe when it has been validated by our email verifier. That means we sent a request to the server and the reply was positive. There is a 97% chance the email exists.
What are riskier emails?
Section titled “What are riskier emails?”Riskier emails are catch-all emails.
Catch-all email servers capture emails sent to any invalid address at the domain. When configured, emails sent to any address related to the domain will not be bounced back.
That means this email can’t be verified, since we can’t get a YES/NO reply from the server. The only way to verify catch-all emails is to send test emails to them.
We advise keeping riskier emails to at most 30-40% of your list, to control your bounce. Our risky emails have on average a deliverability of 83%.
Can I download only safe emails?
Section titled “Can I download only safe emails?”Exported files include all found emails with their status, so you can filter safe from riskier emails in your spreadsheet or CRM. There is currently no option to download a partial file.
